We spent a few nights at Yellowstone Bar n Ranch on our honeymoon back in October. Christian was absolutely lovely - he made us feel so welcome, gave us dinner recommendations for West Yellowstone, talked us through walks in the area, showed us around the property and most importantly, explained how to make smores around one of the few fires he lit up around the ranch! We loved the time we spent in our little cottage, it had a magnificent view of the lake right across it, it was very well maintained and clean, and the fireplace made is super cozy. The location was great too - about 20min drive to Yellowstone and there was a great little restaurant in West Yellowstone which we frequented during our stay. Hopefully we will be back one day!

The location and facilities were nice. Things mentioned in other reviews including pool, game room etc. are as advertised. However, none of that matters if the staff is not hospitable and essentially ruins your stay. I had the exact same method of booking at other hotels (Canyon lodge included) in the park before and after this one, and faced zero issues. No one asked for the ID of the 2nd person once they saw a) My ID and b) My reservation being one of the two rooms

It was very centrally located! It was right across from the West Yellowstone visitor center. It was nice having the fire pits automatically lit each night, and we received complimentary s’more kits each day. We were able to use the pool and the free laundry facilities at the Grey wolf lodge.

This was one of the most unique lodges that we have ever stayed at and that’s saying a lot as we just finished visiting all 50 States with Montana being the last one. We had a wonderful time and wish we could have stayed longer!!!

The room was great and the staff is awesome. They offer free laundry service and space for cooking with grills. They have almost all the details of hospitality right. Compared to the lodges inside the park this is way better and way more affordable. Highly recommended.
