Definitely Regina was adequate for our hockey tournament.
Definitely Regina was adequate for our hockey tournament. We found it easy to get around with plenty of places to dine and shop if you wanted. The central sports facilities are super - something to wish your city had. The only problem - ice plant seemed undersized and did not freeze floods.

Regina like most large cities has its highs and lows.
Regina like most large cities has its highs and lows. Some lovely areas some quite run down. Our family took in the Regina Science Centre. Can't say enough about how much we all enjoyed it. Especially the IMAX documentary. The facility was clean, fun for the entire family and lots of space to roam without feeling overwhelmed by other people. The IMAX film we choose was Wings Over Water. Gorgeous cinematography that the kids truly enjoyed and even my son, daughter and I learned about the wetland birds of the prairies. A great day was had by all. We stayed approx. 3.5 hours.

There's a lot of worthy places to visit in Regina, 3days is not enough. If you're planning to go to Regina, you must visit the Saskatchewan Parliament Building, they have a free tour every 30minutes from 9am to 3pm. And try to meet Scotty, the world's largest T-Rex in Royal Saskatchewan Museum, admission is free, if you're generous they're accepting donations starting at 5cad.

Lots to see and do: R.C.M.P.
Lots to see and do: R.C.M.P. Museum, Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame, Museum of Natural History etc. It is easy to get around due to the city's small size, good signage as well as good lighting. I prefer Wascana Park where there are lots of birds and beautiful trees. It is a great place to have a picnic and enjoy the sunset which is beautiful!
The front desk staff were polite, friendly and helpful. Our room was large, clean and comfortable with a desk and a seating area. It was well-equipped with a fridge, microwave and coffee/tea items. It was air conditioned and had a large TV and blackout curtains on the windows. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was clean. There was bottled water in the room. The hotel is near downtown and we could walk to local restaurants. There is indoor parking.
The location was next to the airport. We used the shuttle to the airport which was waiting for us in the lobby at 3:45am ( 15 minutes early ). The drive to the airport was less than 4 minutes. The hotel and the room was absolutely spotless with all we would need in a room. We left before breakfast but if it was as good as the hotel itself we obviously missed out.
-After problem with Booking reservation, the manager was able to find us a room though it was a smoking room and he let us take the less smelly room which was bearable.
-Very comfortable bed
-Fridge & microwave
-Friendly stafll
-Free parking, on edge of city near restaurants and box stores but still 10 mins to downtown
We had heard that Regina was not very safe so we were anxious about having to walk far for a meal and a drink. The hotel had a public bar and an excellent restaurant. All the staff who served us were exceptionally friendly and helpful so we didn’t have to leave the hotel at all. Everything was reasonably priced.
We had a 26 foot U-Haul truck and the hotel’s location was perfect and had enough space to park such a huge truck. It wasn’t hard for me to get in and out of the parking.
The breakfast was good as well.
I also like the fact that the hotel is being renovated.
Breakfast was good and more than expected. Location was good, at least we didnt have far to go from the elevator. But we went to Mcdonalds first to get my 3 yr old his breakfast and here when we got back to get at the hotel it was the same. lol
Stunning Grand Hotel immaculately kept in downtown Regina. Exceptionally comfortable, clean and elegant. Coffee kiosk, restaurant and bar/lounge onsite. Loved our stay here! Slept so well and were able to walk almost anywhere.
The hotel is cosy, room was super clean and spacious. Location is great, groceries, restaurants are very close to the hotel. I would definitely stay at the hotel again if there is a need to pass by Regina.
Great room and comfortable beds, good location and pet friendly. Friendly staff. Pub in the hotel made dinner easy and decent included breakfast as well - given COVID restrictions.
Was forced to find lodgings during the Regina blizzard. Staff welcome us, were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was hot and much appreciated. Great location for airport traffic.
